When traveling with dogs, it’s important to pull over every now and again to let the dogs (and yourself) stretch your legs. Our first stop on Wednesday morning happened to be down the Virgin River Gorge at the Cedar Pocket exit. A beautiful, beautiful place to stop for a bit.
Signpost to two trails that you can hike, if you’re so inclined.
Dogs in the canyon.
Nose to the ground. They were likely sniffing the quail we saw cross the river.
More tracking by Britta.

A shot of the beautiful canyon in the morning, around 8 AM.
Hard ground. Baked in the summertime heat.
Another shot of the beautiful river.
The money shot.
